「職場『新』力軍」3.0 就業培訓計劃
"Experiential, Enriching and Empowering"
3.0 Internship Programme
炮台山循道衞理中學
Fortress Hill Methodist Secondary School
September 2023 – August 2025
While Hong Kong has made progress in workplace inclusion, a 2023 Equal Opportunities Commission study reveals that 63% of employers remain hesitant to hire persons with disabilities, often due to misconceptions about required support. Many SEN graduates, even after completing vocational training, face unnecessary barriers, with outdated stereotypes limiting their opportunities.

This is why Koo Foundation partnered with Fortress Hill Methodist School to strengthen their internship programme. By providing meaningful work experiences and comprehensive career guidance, we offer SEN students with the support they need to showcase their abilities and thrive in the workplace.

This holistic approach, which combines training, mentorship, and real-world experience, is breaking down stereotypes and creating a more inclusive future for SEN individuals. The two-year internship programme concluded in August 2025, resulting in 39 out of 79 Form Six students being successfully hired by employers, which reflects an approximate 49% employment rate for graduates.
The enthusiastic reviews make it clear - the programme is an incredible success. Not only has it helped these young individuals chart their professional paths, but it has also uncovered a remarkable pool of untapped potential, poised to become the next generation of talented, driven leaders.

As a proud sponsor of this transformative initiative, Koo Foundation is deeply inspired by the unwavering efforts and seamless collaboration between the students, faculty, families, and hiring companies. We hope that the graduates have come to realise that commencement is merely the start of an exciting new chapter, and with continued hard work, these bright minds will make an indelible mark on the world.
