New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association – Enhancing the Employability of Person with Autism Spectrum Disorder through Virtual Reality 

October 2020 The Koo’s Giving Charitable Foundation is delighted to partner with New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association to launch a Virtual Reality (VR) based vocational training programme for Person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (PWA). The programme aim to strengthen the PWA’s career planning, interpersonal skills and adaptation skills in workplace and enhance their employability. The VR training will provide interactive practice exercises in different work settings e.g. food factory, hotel, restaurant, the participant will receive in-the-moment feedback, response and guidance of improvement. The project also provides VR workshops for potential employers to enhance understanding on the needs of PWA and promote acceptance among workplace. The Foundation believes the participants could enhance their personal skills and increase the employers’ acceptance towards PWA throughout the process and build an inclusive society.
